Jordan Rudolph

Owner, Head Fitness Coach, CPT

Jordan holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse where he majored in physics with a biomedical concentration.  His schooling and 2 semesters of research on ACL tear frequency in females provided Jordan with a background geared towards biomechanics.  His passion for movement quality and better living led him down a path towards personal training rather than physical therapy.  It was clear that personal training was his true calling after he started training part-time at a local gym here in La Crosse.
 
Jordan is the founder of Unity Fitness, La Crosse’s first true training facility that helps people move better, feel better, and look better by specializing in weight loss, movement, and performance.   Jordan originally created Unity Fitness as an online coaching program aimed to unify the health and fitness goals by creating customized workouts and meal plans for its members.  This ultimately led to creating a facility that not only held on to these values, but also added community and hands-on coaching and support to help unify health and fitness.
 
Jordan has worked with over 200 clients and holds numerous fitness certifications and specialties which include Precision Nutrition, TRX Suspension Trainer, Golf Fitness Specialist, and more.  He specializes in fat loss, movement, nutrition, and golf performance and has been featured in the IDEA Fitness Journal.

 

Mandy Haugstad

Manager

IMG_1048Mandy runs the ship that is known as Unity Fitness.  She holds a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse where she majored in psychology and minored in biology.  Her passion for fitness was truly unlocked when she began personal training a few short years ago because she learned that you can have fun with exercising along with the improvements that it has made on her life.  Mandy brings excellent operational management skills as well as a creative mindset and insight to our team.

Mitch Cook

Fitness Coach, CSCS

Mitch “Palooza” Cook holds a Bachelor’s of Science majoring in Kinesiology – Human Performance from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.  Mitch brings high energy, compassion, and enthusiasm to our team and you will know it from the second you meet him.  He is currently working for his Master in Clinical Exercise Physiology at the Universit of Wisonsin – La Crosse.  Having a background in a strength and conditioning facility, he also brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience.  Mitch is also our Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. 

Mitch is a 50k ultramarathon finisher, 6-time marathon finisher, 6-time half marathon finisher, and a 2-time Tough Mudder finisher (it’s safe to say he finishes things).  He specializes in strength and conditioning, running mechanics, and endurance-based training as well as advocating for the empowerment of indviduals with disabilities through fitness and sport.

Joe McGlynn

Joe McGlynn has attained a Bachelor’s of Science in Sports Science and Leadership from Viterbo University.  Joe is currently pursuing his Master’s of Science in Human Performance with an Emphasis in Applied Sports Science at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Joe brings years of personal training experience to the UF Team with loads of knowledge in the strength and conditioning world as well as focuses on sports performance and athlete development.  He has a strong background working with athletes at both Viterbo and UW-La Crosse, with basketball being his primary focus.  He currently is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association with plans to soon become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the same organization.

Joe’s mission: To create a positive training environment that is not only challenging, but personable.  Obtaining a fitness goal starts with the motivation to make a change in your life.  Once you make the leap, a lifestyle of health and wellness will guide you to achieve goals that you never thought possible.  Attitude and effort create a better “YOU.”

Sean Manning

Fitness Coach, CPT

Sean is a senior at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and majoring in Exercise and Sport Science having already completed a minor in Nutrition.  Sean became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise in November.  H’es been involved in upon-request health and wellness coaching with friends, family members, and acquaintances for several years now. while also having extensive knowledge in plant-based nutrition.

Since a senior in high school, health and fitness has really played a large role in Sean’s life. While it hasn’t always been a healthy relationship, his discovering of the power of achieving balance in life a couple of years ago and has never looked back.  He aspires to have a positive effect on someone’s life every day and always striving for a better tomorrow; more specifically, to become legendary for being the one who helped everyone go the extra mile and push themselves to new limits, only to find out that they like it and they become addicted to self-betterment.  Sean is currently training for powerlifting and would like to become a competitor at the 74kg class level by the end of 2017.  He also loves to mountain biking, playing volleyball (especially beach), and hiking. 

 

Alex Friedman

Fitness Coach, CPT, USAW-L1

Alex is currently attaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. He is also in the midst of attaining a minor in Nutrition and has already finished a minor in Business Administration. Alex wrestled 4 years at UW-L and has experience coaching strength and conditioning at UW-L’s Sports Performance Center and at the High School level.

Alex has a strong background working with both collegiate and high school athletes. He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Level 1 Weightlifting and Sports Performance Coach certified through USA Weightlifting.

Alex’s primary goal is to provide a positive, effective atmosphere, where anyone can gain the strength to achieve life changing goals. He brings compassion and motivation to the UF Team. Alex aspires to further the world of Fitness by providing the best programs, training, and energy to every workout, while enabling personal progress mentally and physically.

 

 

Matt Haberl

Professional Picture singleDr. Matt Haberl is a Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Specialist and professional educator. He graduated from Simpson College in Indianola, IA in 2004 with his Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training and Exercise Science. While at Simpson College he was a part of the playoff contending Simpson Storm Football Team and became Certified in Strength and Conditioning through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Interested in continued pursuit of further professional growth he went on to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program graduating in 2008. Here he had the opportunity to complete a clinical internship at the United States Coast Guard training and treating our cadets as they went through their summer boot camp training. 

Dr. Haberl then completed his Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Training in 2010 and his Fellowship in Manual Therapy with Evidence in Motion in 2012. He now specializes in neuromusculoskeletal (a tongue twister!) rehabilitation and prevention of injuries. He offers a unique perspective to restoring an individual’s optimal pain free movement with the use of the Functional Movement Screen, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, integrating a variety of different manual therapy techniques including functional dry needling, joint manipulation and mobilization, hands on and instrumented assisted soft tissue mobilization complimented with a variety of corrective exercises with the use of a variety of tools (TRX, Kettle Balls, Sports Bands, Med Balls, Foam Rollers, etc.)

In addition to seeing individuals at Unity Fitness he also treats patients at a local healthcare facility. There he sees a variety of patients from acute low back and neck pain and sports related injuries in a vast array of patients from youth sports to semi-pro athletes and our middle age working population.

Outside of the sports rehabilitation and enhancement he does specialize in more persistent pain populations including chronic low back pain, neck pain, headaches and migraines, fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome ect.
